Estimates and calculators
The commission savings and net proceeds calculators on this site produce planning estimates only. They are not appraisals, closing statements, guarantees of sale price, or tax or legal advice. Actual figures depend on your specific transaction, and your closing agent produces the binding numbers. Rates, statutes and customary practices change; verify anything you intend to rely on.
Commissions
All real estate commissions are negotiable and are not set by law or by any REALTOR® association. Our stated 1.5% listing commission describes services provided to a seller under a signed listing agreement and may vary by property, price and scope. The A $1,000 retainer, which includes pre-listing appraisal, is payable when the listing is taken and will be refunded to the seller at closing. Compensation offered to a buyer's broker, if any, is a separate amount determined by the seller and is not a condition of listing.
Comparisons
References on this site to a “traditional” 6% listing, and to administrative, brokerage or transaction fees of up to $600, describe common market practice. They do not describe any specific competitor, and they are not a representation of what any particular brokerage charges. All such fees are set by the brokerage charging them and are negotiable.
